“This goes out to the underdog.” (Alicia Keys, Underdog)

One of my favorite songs is Underdog by Alicia Keys.  I can listen to that song on repeat for hours and never get tired of it.  The beat is energizing; it captures my attention and makes me want to listen closely to the message behind the music.

“They said I would never make it
But I was built to break the mold
The only dream that I’ve been chasing is my own”

Have you had an experience in life where you’ve had to defy the odds?  I personally know that that is not easy – it can rattle you to your core and cause you to doubt, retreat and ultimately succumb to defeat instead of declaring your victories.  “I was built to break the mold” … YES!  You CAN break that mold.  Believe in yourself and keep on chasing those dreams!  As Alicia sings:
